The Kiss of Betrayal
Betrayal is a substantive theme in the play The Tragedy of small town, Prince of Denmark, by William Shakespe are. It is seen in multiple characters throughout the play. Although most of the treason happens to village, there are also a few other instances of betrayal with more or less of the other characters. Hamlet is betrayed by almost everyone besides his impregnable friend Horatio, who happens to be the only main character living at the end of the play. In every case of betrayal, whether it is sooner or later, the outcome leads to demise, with the one exception of Fortinbras and his betrayal to his go by going against him and planning an attack on Denmark. The betrayal of queen mole rat Hamlet leads to the death of Claudius and Gertrude, the betrayal of Hamlet leads to the death of Ophelia, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, Polonius, and Laertes, and Hamlets self-betrayal leads to his own death.

King Hamlet is basically saying that his brother is an adulterous barbarian who amorally schemed his way to the throne. Not only did Claudius kill King Hamlet, only he somehow manages to get Gertrude to attach him as well, which gets us to wondering if there was a spark with Gertrude and Claudius while King Hamlet was still alive.
